FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY DO I NEED A FINANCIAL COACH?
According to the Economic Policy Institute, as of October 2019 the average retirement savings of work-age families from 32-61 is $95,776. Did you know 42% of Americans are not even saving for retirement? We all have had an unexpected life event happen to us, but 44% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency. As a financial coach, I will help you develop a strategy so that you will never be part of the statistics listed above.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FINANCIAL COACH AND A FINANCIAL ADVISOR?
A financial coach is someone who will help you understand the basics of personal finance and help you develop and maintain healthy financial habits. Their main job is to empower their clients to reach their financial goals and learn how to handle their finances responsibly. They typically work with clients who want to save money, create a budget, pay off debt or just improve their financial literacy in general. Just like a coach for a sports team, a financial coach teaches you the knowledge and skills you need to play the game, helps you create healthy habits that improve your performance and then encourages you from the sidelines. Same idea, much different game. In simplest terms, financial advisors work to manage and build on wealth that already exists while financial coaches provide information that helps put clients in the best position to create that initial wealth.
WHAT COACHING CONCEPTS DO I USE?
I base my teaching off of two principles. Since I am a Ramsey Preferred Coach, all of my teaching, tools and coaching come from Dave Ramsey. The reason why I follow Dave's principles are pretty simple. They work! They worked for me and I have helped many others through these principles so needless to say I believe strongly in them and will be teaching them to you. The other principle is the Bible. Did you know there are over 2,000 verses in the Bible that talk about money? In fact, if you read Proverbs you could have a strong understanding of how to deal with money from God. Verses like Proverbs 22:7 "The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is slave to the lender" is one of many ways God instructs us on how to handle money.

DOES MY SPOUSE NEED TO ATTEND?
Yes it is very important that they attend. This is a team effort. When you got married you both became one and this is how you need to approach this journey to attain the best results. For example, a Belgian horse can pull 8,000 pounds by itself. When you team it with another Belgian horse together they can pull 24,000 pounds together. However, this is the amazing part, train the same two horses to work together as a team and they can pull 32,000 pounds together. Synergy is a must when it comes to finances as a couple!
I AM IN DEBT. HOW CAN I PAY FOR FINANCIAL COACHING?
Please look at financial coaching as an investment that pays for itself in the long term. I will help you to identify leaks in your cash flow and repair the leaks. 90% of the clients I have worked with paid for their investment within the first 30 days of coaching and 100% of my clients have had a complete return on their investment within 60 days.
WILL MY INFORMATION BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL?
